NewsBrisbane Tennis Senior of the Year for 2011
Margaret Daniell - Brisbane Senior of the Year
Margaret Daniell was awarded the Brisbane Seniors Tennis Club Senior of the Year in recognition for her tireless work on the Committee, the cheerful attitude she brings to Seniors tennis and last but not least, the guile and cunning she uses to great effect on the tennis court. Congratulations Margy!
Margy has been the secretary for Ipswich Juniors for many years. She is also on the board of MRA for Tennis Qld and was recently awarded the Geoffrey Griffith Merit award by TQ for recognition for her work within Tennis through Ipswich Juniors, Brisbane Seniors and her appointment to the board on MRA and her involvement withing the tennis community. She has also been a Brisbane seniors committee member for at least 6 years and a member of Brisbane Seniors Tennis club for no less than 15 years.

Div 1 JB's defeated Puffing Billies 6 sets 52 games to 6 sets 51 games. Div 2 Wanderers defeated Rebels 7sets 56 games to 5 sets 47 games Div 3 Rafters defeated Nadals 5 sets 31 games to 1 set 20 games.
Annual General MeetingThe AGM was held on 20 November following the fixture finals. President Chris Lewis presented his report for the year, presented the trophies to the fixture winners as well as that of Senior of the Year (Margy Daniels).
